Dripping faucets, running toilets, new fixture installs — done right and built to last. Serving all of Shelby County.
A faucet that drips once per second wastes over 3,000 gallons of water per year. A running toilet can waste 200 gallons per day. These seem minor until you see your water bill — and they're almost always a straightforward, same-day fix.
We repair and replace all types of faucets, toilets, sinks, showers, tubs, and fixtures throughout Shelby County. Whether it's a worn cartridge, a cracked seal, or a fixture that's reached the end of its life, we'll fix it fast and charge you a fair price.
We handle the full range of residential fixture work:
A cartridge replacement on a quality faucet costs $80–$150 and extends its life by 10+ years. Replacing a builder-grade faucet with a better unit often costs $200–$400 and eliminates future repair calls. We'll give you both options and our honest recommendation based on the age and condition of what you have.
We don't sell fixtures — we install whatever you choose, or we can help you select something appropriate if you'd prefer we supply it. Either way, the advice we give you isn't influenced by what earns us more money.
Remodeling a bathroom or kitchen? We handle all the rough-in plumbing and finish fixture installations — new supply lines, drain connections, shutoff valves, and fixture mounting. We work with contractors and homeowners directly.
All fixture work is done by licensed plumbers. When you call Professor Plumb, a licensed professional shows up.

In most cases yes, as long as the replacement unit is available. If you've already purchased your new toilet, we can usually schedule same-day or next-day installation. If you need help selecting one, we can advise on what fits your rough-in dimensions and budget.
If your faucet is a quality brand and under 15 years old, repair usually makes sense. If it's a low-grade builder fixture, the repair cost often approaches replacement cost — and a better fixture will save you future calls. We'll give you an honest answer.
Absolutely. We install customer-supplied fixtures all the time. Just make sure it's the right size for your space (especially toilet rough-in, which is usually 12" but can vary) and we'll handle the rest.
That usually means the grinding plate is jammed — often by a piece of silverware or a hard food item. Try pressing the red reset button on the bottom of the disposal and using the hex wrench to manually turn the plate. If that doesn't work, call us — it may be the motor.
